I live with a model!

Ok...so we have a date for CarGuy's transplant...he goes in to the hospital on March 16th and will get his transplant around the 20th. But that's not why I'm here blogging. To get ready for the transplant he had to get another bone marrow biopsy. For those of you not familiar with that process it is H.I.D.E.O.U.S!!! You have to lay on your stomach on a table and then they expose your hiney for all the world to see. They then numb up the area and proceed to drill into the hipbone and take a piece of the bone and about 6cc's of fluid out of the bone. It nearly kills me everytime I witness it. Poor CarGuy had to have it done on both sides this time and he chose not to have any sedation! I think his mother dropped him on his head one too many times as a child!! I would not only have full sedation but they better have a margarita ready for me when I come to.

So...anyway...while the PA is doing the procedure she is talking to him and asking him nebulous little questions. I think she's just trying to keep his mind off things. She asks him the basic "so what do you do for a living" question. Leave it to CarGuy to come up with the most hilarious answer it appears she has ever heard. He calmly says "I'm a butt model." She had to stop the procedure so she could compose herself. Sometimes the guy absolutely kills me!

BTW...he just came in while I was writing this so I told him that this was totally anonymous and that no one would know who he is. So...if you know me IRL, please don't ask for him to demo his modeling abilities. First he would break all my fingers so I could never blog again but then he would probably give you exactly what you asked for and, believe me, you would not like it and would most likely have nightmares for weeks on end!!! Oh, gosh, definitely do NOT tell him I just said that.

That is hilarious!!! I am not that quick witted.

My brother had that done without sedation and he about came unglued. He said it was very painful. Props to carguy to handle that!!!

That sounds like the most painful thing ever! Glad he at least has as sense of humor through it. Good luck with the transplant!

Oh my! He cracks me up. I'm so glad this hasn't affected his humor! LOL That was a good one.

I'll be thinking and praying for you both on that day!
